Intan Najuwa Keeps Daughter’s Clothes as Precious Motherhood Memories
PETALING JAYA: Actress Intan Najuwa has explained that her decision to keep her daughter Imane Lunara’s clothes is driven by the sentimental memories attached to every piece as part of her motherhood journey.
According to Intan, whose full name is Intan Najuwa Abdul Wahid, many social media followers sent her private messages after learning that she had no plans to sell or give away her daughter’s pre-loved clothing.
She said that although she understood the good intentions of some followers, she preferred to keep all the clothes because of the emotional value and memories associated with them.
“A lot of people asked and some were even upset because I didn’t want to sell or give away Lunara’s clothes.
“But to me, those clothes are very precious because they carry memories that cannot be replaced,” she wrote on Instagram.
The 29-year-old actress said the decision had nothing to do with money, but was instead connected to the sentimental experiences she went through while raising her daughter.
She explained that every outfit reminds her of moments spent choosing clothes for Lunara as well as specific memories shared with her child.
“Some clothes remind me of the time when Lunara had just been born, while others bring back moments that I can never relive again,” she said.
In the same post, Intan also shared screenshots of messages from followers encouraging her to organise a pre-loved clothing sale or free giveaway.
However, she stressed that there are many other ways to share kindness and make people happy besides giving away her daughter’s belongings.
According to Intan, while some people may see the clothes as ordinary items, she views them as an important part of her life journey as a mother.
She added that she intends to continue keeping the clothes as cherished memories for years to come.
Previously, Intan married entrepreneur Ahmad Azraf Azman in August 2023.
The couple have a two-year-old daughter, Imane Lunara, and Intan is currently expecting their second child.
