Affordable Glamping in Putrajaya Offers Nature Escape for Families from Just RM30

PUTRAJAYA: As urban lifestyles become increasingly hectic, more Malaysians are seeking simple and affordable ways to unwind and spend quality time with their families without travelling far from home.

Camping and glamping have emerged as popular recreational choices, offering the opportunity to reconnect with nature while enjoying modern comforts and convenient facilities.

Operations manager of Gopeng Glamping Park (GGP) Consultancy & Training Services Sdn Bhd, Adam Haikal Yusof, said the idea was inspired by the government’s Rahmah initiative and the growing popularity of camping activities.

According to him, the campsite previously charged RM50 on weekdays and RM80 during weekends.

“When the Rahmah initiative was introduced, we thought it would be a good opportunity to attract more visitors during weekdays by offering lower prices.

“Weekends are usually crowded, so we wanted to provide a more affordable option for those who prefer quieter days,” he said in a recent interview.

Adam said the response has been encouraging, particularly from families looking for a relaxing outdoor experience without spending too much.

Apart from affordable campsite rentals, visitors can also purchase Rahmah meal packages priced from as low as RM9 per person.

The meals include food, drinks and fruits, providing added convenience for campers who prefer not to cook or leave the site to buy meals.

“We know some families just want to relax and enjoy nature.

“So we created affordable meal options to make their camping experience easier and more enjoyable,” he said.

Despite the affordable prices, the campsite offers a wide range of modern facilities designed to enhance visitors’ comfort.

Amenities include free parking, electrical plug points at every campsite, campfire areas, an open hall, male and female restrooms, a surau and an oasis-style pool suitable for children.

The well-maintained environment and family-friendly facilities make the site an attractive destination for parents who want to introduce their children to outdoor activities in a safe setting.

The management also places strong emphasis on maintaining a Muslim-friendly environment.

Alcohol, non-halal food, smoking, vaping and drug-related activities are strictly prohibited within the campsite.

Visitors who violate these rules may face penalties of up to RM3,000.

Adam said these measures are important to ensure that all visitors can enjoy a safe, comfortable and harmonious environment.

Safety is another key priority, with the Putrajaya Wetland area monitored by security personnel around the clock.

Regular patrols are conducted and emergency buttons are installed at selected locations to allow visitors to seek assistance quickly if necessary.

For those who do not own camping equipment, the management also offers tent rentals ranging from RM50 to RM110 depending on the type and size selected.

With its combination of natural surroundings, modern facilities and affordable pricing, the Wetland Camping and Glamping Site in Putrajaya is steadily emerging as an ideal getaway for families seeking a relaxing outdoor experience without leaving the Klang Valley.
