
Police Seek Public Help to Trace Missing 15-Year-Old Girl in Kajang
PETALING JAYA: Police are appealing to the public for assistance in locating a 15-year-old girl who has been reported missing since Monday after she was last seen near a secondary school in Kajang.
Kajang district police chief Assistant Commissioner Mohd Naazron Abdul Yusof said the police received a report regarding the teenager’s disappearance at 6.21pm yesterday and immediately launched efforts to trace her whereabouts.
According to him, the teenager, identified as Nursayyida Nafisah Khairul Fadzli, is believed to have gone missing at around 7pm on June 15.
“The last known location where the victim was seen was in front of Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan (SMK) Bandar Tasik Kesuma.
“Efforts to locate her are still ongoing and the police hope members of the public who have relevant information will come forward to assist,” he said in a statement today.
Mohd Naazron said Nursayyida Nafisah is approximately 163 centimetres tall and weighs around 55 kilograms.
She was last seen wearing a black and red school T-shirt, black trousers and a black headscarf.
The police chief said investigators are pursuing various leads, including gathering information from family members, friends and individuals who may have seen the teenager before she was reported missing.
He urged anyone who may have spotted the girl or who has information regarding her whereabouts to contact the police immediately.
“Public cooperation is crucial in helping us locate the missing teenager as quickly as possible.
“Anyone with information is urged to contact the nearest police station or the Kajang District Police Headquarters,” he said.
Members of the public can contact the Kajang district police headquarters at 03-8911 4222 to provide information related to the case.
Alternatively, information can also be channelled directly to the investigating officer, Sergeant Mohd Zamri Mohd Nor, at 010-284 8761.
Mohd Naazron said every piece of information received will be carefully investigated to assist in locating the teenager.
He stressed that missing person cases, especially those involving minors, are treated seriously by the police and immediate action is taken to ensure the safety of those involved.
He also advised parents and guardians to closely monitor their children’s movements and maintain regular communication, particularly when they are outside the home or after school hours.
At the same time, he urged the public to refrain from spreading unverified information or speculation that could interfere with investigations or cause unnecessary distress to the victim’s family.
“The public is encouraged to provide verified information directly to the police and avoid sharing unconfirmed claims on social media,” he said.
Police remain hopeful that with the cooperation of the public, the missing teenager can be found safely and reunited with her family as soon as possible.
