
Gamuda unit wins RM1.72b deal to build hyperscale data centre in Port Dickson
KUALA LUMPUR, April 17 – Gamuda Bhd, via its wholly owned subsidiary Gamuda Engineering Sdn Bhd, has secured a RM1.72 billion contract to construct a hyperscale data centre in Port Dickson, Negeri Sembilan.
The project was awarded by a US-based multinational technology firm.
Comprehensive infrastructure and technical scope
The development will include site infrastructure works, core building construction and full mechanical, electrical and plumbing (MEP) installation.
Timeline set through 2028
Construction is expected to begin in the second quarter of this year, with completion targeted for the first quarter of 2028.
Positive earnings outlook
Gamuda said the project is expected to contribute positively to its revenue and earnings from the financial year ending July 31, 2026 until completion.
Managing construction risks
The company acknowledged typical industry risks such as material price fluctuations but expressed confidence in mitigating them through its technical expertise.
No conflict of interest
Gamuda confirmed that none of its directors or major shareholders have any direct or indirect interest in the project.
