
RSGC Junior Championship returns with global field, Taiwan prize fuels competition, Joshua Lim eyes repeat
PETALING JAYA, April 18 – Royal Selangor Golf Club (RSGC) is set to stage the 11th edition of its Junior Invitational Golf Championship 2026, reinforcing its role as a key platform for developing emerging golf talent.
Scheduled from May 12 to 14 at the East Course, the tournament will feature a strong international lineup, raising the level of competition.
International field boosts competitiveness
A total of 95 players from 13 countries will take part, with Malaysia leading participation.
Competitors from South Korea, China, Indonesia and Australia are expected to intensify the contest.
Joshua Lim returns as defending champion
All eyes will be on Joshua Lim as he seeks to defend his title and maintain his edge among the region’s rising stars.
Taiwan incentive adds extra motivation
Top Malaysian performers in key age categories will earn a spot at the Taiwan Youth Junior Championship 2026, with travel funded by RSGC and tournament support provided by the Malaysian Golf Association (MGA).

As a World Amateur Golf Ranking event, the championship offers valuable ranking points and international exposure for young golfers.
