
SunCon expands data centre pipeline with RM1.75b Selangor project
KUALA LUMPUR, April 18 – Sunway Construction Group Bhd (SunCon) has secured a RM1.75 billion contract to build a hyperscale data centre in Bandar Serendah, Selangor, further strengthening its foothold in digital infrastructure projects.
The contract was awarded through its subsidiary, Sunway Construction Sdn Bhd, in collaboration with a global hyperscaler.
Full lifecycle project scope
The project encompasses construction, completion, testing and commissioning of the facility, covering the entire development cycle.
Execution timeline through 2028
Construction is expected to commence in the third quarter of 2026 and will run until completion in the third quarter of 2028.
Earnings impact over time
While there will be no immediate financial impact, the project is expected to contribute progressively to SunCon’s earnings over the coming years.
