Zizi Kirana Urges Public to Set Aside Disputes, Refocus on Humanitarian Mission for Palestine

PETALING JAYA, April 8 — Malaysian singer Zizi Kirana has called on the public to put aside ongoing disputes and refocus on the core objective of the Global Sumud Flotila 2.0 (GSF 2.0) humanitarian mission, which is to support the people of Palestine.

Zizi, whose real name is Nur Fazelah Mad Tahil, emphasised that the mission is guided by established frameworks and has been carefully planned with consideration from relevant authorities.

She noted that all aspects of the initiative, including participation and logistics, have been assessed in line with appropriate guidelines.

In light of the recent controversy, she urged the public not to allow disagreements to overshadow the broader humanitarian purpose.

“Everything has been outlined and clarified by the authorities. What matters now is returning to the real objective — humanitarian aid and amplifying the voices of the Palestinian people on the global stage,” she said in a post on Threads.

Zizi stressed that internal disputes only weaken collective efforts and detract from the unity needed to support those in need.

Her statement comes amid debate over the involvement of women in the GSF 2.0 mission, which has sparked mixed reactions across social media.

Since earlier this week, discussions have centred on several Malaysian female celebrities who have chosen to participate in the mission, with some questioning the appropriateness of their decision.

Among those facing criticism is actress Ardell Aryana, particularly over concerns about leaving behind her young children and an ailing parent.

However, her husband Nadzmi Adhwa has publicly defended her decision, stating that he fully supports her participation and is prepared to manage family responsibilities in her absence.

The situation highlights differing public perspectives on humanitarian involvement, especially when personal and family commitments are involved.

At the same time, Zizi’s remarks are seen as an effort to ease tensions and redirect attention toward the mission’s primary humanitarian goals.
