EPF’s 6.15% Dividend Shows Fund Resilience and Strong Public Confidence, Says Anwar

KUALA LUMPUR, Feb 28 — Malaysia’s Employees Provident Fund (EPF) has demonstrated strong resilience with its 6.15 per cent dividend payout for 2025, reflecting effective investment management and continued public confidence, Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim said.

The dividend, announced earlier for both Conventional and Shariah savings, involves a total distribution of RM79.6 billion to contributors.

Anwar said the achievement is particularly significant given the challenging global economic environment.

Strong performance reflects sound investment strategy

He said the dividend highlights the fund’s ability to navigate global uncertainties while maintaining competitive returns.

“This performance reflects the strength of EPF’s investment management and the public’s continued trust in the national retirement savings system,” he said.

He added that the payout will benefit millions of contributors nationwide.

Public trust remains a key pillar of retirement system

Anwar said strong dividend returns reinforce confidence in Malaysia’s retirement savings framework.

He noted that EPF remains a critical institution in safeguarding Malaysians’ financial future.

He said maintaining stable returns is essential for retirement security.

Government committed to sustainable economic growth

The Prime Minister said the Madani government welcomes the EPF’s performance.

He said the government will continue implementing policies to strengthen the economy and improve living standards.

He stressed that economic stability is essential for long-term financial planning.

Dividend payout boosts retirement savings security

The RM79.6 billion distribution is expected to significantly strengthen retirement savings.

The payout reinforces EPF’s position as one of Malaysia’s most trusted financial institutions.

Anwar said the government remains committed to protecting Malaysians’ financial well-being.
