Anzalna Nasir Chooses Family Time Over Social Media During Holidays

PETALING JAYA: Actress Anzalna Nasir has revealed that she intentionally reduces her social media activity whenever she goes on holiday with her family, choosing instead to focus on creating meaningful memories with her loved ones.

The actress said she believes vacations should be dedicated to spending quality time with family members rather than being distracted by constant online engagement.

According to Anzalna, whose full name is Nur Anzalna Md. Nasir, she makes a conscious effort to stay away from social media platforms during trips so she can fully appreciate every moment shared with her husband and children.

She explained that while many people prefer to post updates in real time, she usually waits until after returning home before sharing photos and videos from her travels.

“When I’m on holiday, I try to avoid scrolling through social media and instead focus entirely on my family. I want to enjoy every moment and be fully present throughout the trip.

“I normally upload photos and videos a few days after returning because I prefer to spend the holiday itself enjoying the experience,” she shared on Threads.

The 38-year-old actress said meaningful family moments are priceless and should be cherished without distractions from digital devices.

For her, being emotionally and mentally present is just as important as being physically together, especially during family vacations where opportunities to strengthen bonds are created naturally.

Anzalna noted that the memories built during family trips often become some of life’s most valuable experiences and can never be replaced.

She added that holidays provide an important opportunity to step away from work responsibilities, daily pressures and the constant demands of technology.

The actress believes that taking a break from smartphones and social media allows individuals to reconnect with their surroundings and develop deeper relationships with the people closest to them.

Known for her performances in popular television dramas such as Memori Cinta Suraya and Dendam Aurora, Anzalna said maintaining a healthy balance between digital engagement and personal life is increasingly important in today’s fast-paced world.

She encouraged others to occasionally disconnect from online platforms and prioritise meaningful interactions with family members and loved ones.

Her remarks resonated with many followers, who agreed that limiting social media use during holidays can lead to more memorable experiences and stronger family connections.

The post also sparked discussions about digital well-being, with many social media users sharing similar practices of reducing screen time while travelling in order to fully appreciate the moments they spend with those who matter most.
