LG Display Showcases World’s Largest Gaming OLED Portfolio at Taipei Roadshow
SEOUL: Display technology leader LG Display is set to unveil its most advanced Gaming OLED innovations at a major roadshow in Taipei, Taiwan, as part of its strategy to strengthen its position in the rapidly expanding premium gaming monitor market.
The event, scheduled from June 4 to June 10, will highlight the company’s industry-leading OLED technologies while offering customers and partners a glimpse into the future evolution of gaming displays.
Held under the theme “Empowering Faster, Clearer, Brighter Display Experiences,” the roadshow will bring together around 20 global gaming monitor manufacturers, creating opportunities for technology demonstrations, industry engagement and future business collaboration.
LG Display intends to use the event to showcase both its current Gaming OLED portfolio and its next-generation development roadmap.
Visitors will also have the opportunity to compare OLED and LCD technologies directly through side-by-side demonstrations designed to highlight the advantages of OLED in gaming and professional applications.
The company currently offers the industry’s most comprehensive Gaming OLED lineup, covering panel sizes ranging from 20 inches to 40 inches.
One of the key attractions will be the world’s only mass-produced 39-inch OLED gaming monitor panel, which features ultra-high-resolution 5K2K performance.
Combined with a 21:9 ultra-wide format and a curvature of up to 1500R, the display delivers an immersive visual experience particularly suited for racing simulators, flight simulators and cinematic gaming environments.
LG Display will also showcase its widely adopted 27-inch OLED monitor panel, which has become a popular choice among gaming monitor manufacturers worldwide.
A major technological highlight is the company’s RGB Stripe OLED architecture, which arranges red, green and blue subpixels in a uniform linear structure.
This design significantly improves text clarity and reduces colour fringing, making the panel suitable not only for gaming but also for productivity-focused tasks such as document creation, graphic design and content editing.
The panel additionally supports a 240Hz refresh rate to deliver smooth performance in fast-paced gaming scenarios.
The roadshow will also feature a next-generation display zone showcasing advanced OLED technologies.
Among the featured products is a Gaming OLED panel capable of meeting the DisplayHDR True Black 1000 standard established by the Video Electronics Standards Association.
The display can achieve peak brightness levels of up to 2,000 nits while maintaining accurate colour reproduction and exceptional contrast.
Another notable innovation is a 27-inch 5K OLED panel with a pixel density of 220 PPI, providing near print-quality image detail for professional applications such as graphic design, photography and video production.
LG Display will also introduce emerging technologies including Black Frame Insertion (BFI), which enhances motion clarity without requiring high-end graphics hardware, and Dynamic Frequency & Resolution (DFR) 2.0, which allows users to switch between ultra-high refresh rates and ultra-high resolutions depending on their needs.
Since entering the OLED monitor market in 2022 with its Tandem WOLED technology, LG Display has rapidly expanded its customer base and established partnerships with approximately 10 leading global monitor brands.
The company currently holds several industry-leading performance benchmarks, including the highest refresh rates, fastest response times and highest resolutions among OLED monitor panels.
Its proprietary surface treatment technology also enables an exceptionally low reflectance level of just 0.3 per cent, helping to improve immersion and visibility under various lighting conditions.
According to Hyeon-woo Lee, head of LG Display’s Large Display Business Unit, the company intends to leverage its leadership in large-sized OLED technologies to strengthen relationships with global customers and accelerate growth in the premium gaming monitor segment.
He said the company remains focused on delivering the ultimate display experience sought by gamers while continuing to expand innovation across the broader OLED ecosystem.
