Na’imah Abdul Khalid Rejects Government Ouster Allegations, Calls Claims Illogical and Unfounded

PETALING JAYA, Feb 27 — Na’imah Abdul Khalid has strongly denied allegations linking her to any attempt to overthrow the government, describing the claims as baseless and illogical.

Na’imah, the widow of former finance minister Tun Daim Zainuddin, said efforts to associate her with international media reports involving the chief commissioner of the Suruhanjaya Pencegahan Rasuah Malaysia (MACC), Tan Sri Azam Baki, were irresponsible.

She said the suggestion that she was involved in destabilising the government was unreasonable.

Na’imah stressed that she has never participated in any plan or effort to topple the elected administration.

She said the allegations were not only untrue but could also mislead the public.

Na’imah added that the claims resembled political accusations seen in the past.

She reiterated that she has never supported or considered any attempt to undermine the government.

At the same time, she rejected claims that she was behind investigative reports published by international media.

She said the reports were produced by journalists carrying out their professional responsibilities.

Na’imah emphasised that she does not intend to take credit for investigative work conducted by others.

She said the journalists involved deserve recognition for their efforts.

She described attempts to link her to the reports as unfair and unfounded.

Na’imah added that she remains ready to cooperate with authorities if required.

She urged the public to refrain from speculation without evidence.

The matter has drawn public attention amid ongoing investigations and media scrutiny.
