Malaysian Man Killed in South Korea: Mother Recalls Final Moments Through Video Call
RAWANG: The mother of a 26-year-old Malaysian who was fatally stabbed in South Korea has recounted the heartbreaking moment she witnessed her son’s final moments through a video call after he was critically injured while allegedly attempting to help a friend during a violent altercation.
Zulfah Fadliani, 47, said she received a video call from her daughter-in-law, Nurcahaya Ruslan, 30, while her son, Ahmad Shah Ahmad Ros, was receiving emergency treatment at a hospital following the stabbing incident.
According to Zulfah, despite efforts by medical personnel, Ahmad Shah succumbed to his injuries at approximately 3.30am local time.
She said the tragedy began when her son received a call from a Malaysian friend who had reportedly been attacked by a group of individuals.
At the time, Ahmad Shah was at home with his wife before deciding to go to the location to assist his friend.
Based on information relayed by Nurcahaya, who accompanied her husband to the scene, Ahmad Shah attempted to intervene and calm the situation when he was suddenly stabbed in the abdomen by an unidentified man.
The suspect allegedly fled immediately after the attack.
Zulfah said the stab wound caused severe blood loss before Ahmad Shah was rushed to hospital for emergency treatment.
Although doctors worked to save him, the injuries proved fatal.
Speaking at the family’s home in Bandar Tasik Puteri, Rawang, Zulfah described the experience of seeing her son’s final moments through a video call as one of the most painful experiences a parent could endure.
She said the family is still struggling to come to terms with the sudden loss.
The grieving mother also appealed to the public to refrain from spreading unverified information or speculation surrounding the incident while investigations remain ongoing.
She urged members of the public to respect the family’s privacy and allow the authorities to determine the circumstances of the case through official investigations.
Zulfah further expressed hope that South Korean law enforcement authorities would carry out a thorough investigation and ensure that the individual responsible for her son’s death is brought to justice.
The incident has drawn attention among Malaysians both at home and abroad, with the family now awaiting further developments from the South Korean authorities regarding the investigation and legal proceedings.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Malaysian diplomatic representatives are expected to continue providing the necessary consular assistance to the victim’s family while coordinating with local authorities in South Korea as investigations into the fatal stabbing continue.
