Diesel, RON97 and Unsubsidised RON95 Prices Rise by Five Sen from Feb 26, Subsidised Fuel Unchanged
KUALA LUMPUR, Feb 25 — The government has announced a five sen increase in the retail price of diesel in Peninsular Malaysia to RM3.04 per litre for the period from Feb 26 to March 4, 2026, as part of its weekly fuel price revision.
The Ministry of Finance Malaysia said RON97 petrol prices will also increase by five sen to RM3.15 per litre during the same period.
Unsubsidised RON95 petrol will likewise rise by five sen to RM2.59 per litre.
However, subsidised RON95 under the BUDI95 programme will remain unchanged at RM1.99 per litre to ensure continued support for eligible consumers.
Meanwhile, diesel prices in Sabah, Sarawak and Labuan will remain unchanged at RM2.15 per litre.
Fuel prices adjusted in line with global oil trends
The ministry said fuel price adjustments are based on current global crude oil market developments.
The government will continue reviewing oil price trends regularly before making further adjustments.
This ensures that domestic fuel prices remain aligned with international market conditions.
Government prioritises consumer welfare
Authorities said global oil prices will continue to be monitored closely.
This allows appropriate measures to be taken if significant market changes occur.
The government stressed that public welfare remains a key consideration in fuel pricing decisions.
