
Caltex flags temporary fuel shortages in five states due to logistics delay
KUALA LUMPUR, April 18 – Caltex Malaysia has cautioned that several of its service stations may face temporary shortages of RON95 petrol and diesel following a disruption in its supply chain.
The affected states include Perlis, Kedah, Penang, Perak and Kelantan.
Logistics delay disrupts deliveries
The company said an unexpected delay at the port has affected fuel distribution schedules, leading to reduced supply at certain locations.
Restoration efforts underway
Caltex is currently adjusting its logistics operations to prioritise deliveries to impacted areas and restore normal supply levels.
Public urged to plan ahead
Motorists are advised to manage their fuel needs accordingly while the situation is being resolved.
Apology issued
The company expressed regret over the disruption and thanked customers for their patience.
