Sigenergy Launches Smart Energy Center in China, Strengthens Global AI-Driven Energy Strategy

NANTONG, China, — Sigenergy has unveiled a major new facility in China that is expected to accelerate its role in the global transition toward intelligent energy systems.

The company officially opened the Sigenergy Nantong Smart Energy Center in Jiangsu province, a large-scale facility designed to integrate research, manufacturing and global distribution for next-generation energy technologies.

The inauguration ceremony attracted close to 2,000 industry stakeholders representing more than 50 countries and regions. Among those present were international distributors, installation partners and executives from companies involved in renewable energy development.

During the launch event, Sigenergy also revealed its long-term strategic direction known as “AI in All”, a technology framework that embeds artificial intelligence across the company’s entire energy ecosystem.

Founder and chief executive officer Tony Xu explained that AI will play a crucial role in redefining how energy systems operate in the future.

According to him, the energy industry is undergoing a structural transformation as renewable energy, battery storage and digital technology reshape the traditional power landscape.

Rather than focusing purely on hardware performance, the sector is moving toward integrated platforms capable of intelligent energy management and predictive optimisation.

Sigenergy’s AI-driven approach aims to enable energy systems that are capable of analysing operational conditions, coordinating distributed devices and continuously improving performance through data-based insights.

Artificial intelligence is applied across multiple layers including equipment control, energy optimisation, software platforms and system coordination.

This allows residential systems, commercial facilities and large-scale power plants to function more efficiently while responding dynamically to changes in demand and environmental conditions.

The Nantong Smart Energy Center plays a central role in supporting this technological vision.

Built with an investment of approximately RMB500 million, the facility spans 136,000 square metres and represents one of Sigenergy’s most advanced manufacturing bases.

The center has the capacity to produce more than 300,000 battery packs and inverters annually, significantly expanding the company’s global production capability.

Unlike conventional factories that rely on separate automation systems, the facility integrates multiple digital platforms into a unified manufacturing network.

Manufacturing Execution Systems, warehouse management tools and energy monitoring platforms operate together to provide real-time visibility across the entire production environment.

Advanced automation technologies are used throughout the facility to enhance precision and reduce production time.

Automated welding supported by visual inspection technology ensures extremely high manufacturing accuracy, while high-speed electronic assembly lines are capable of processing components within fractions of a second.

The factory’s intelligent logistics system coordinates material movement both overhead and on the ground, ensuring smooth production flow across all manufacturing stages.

This level of automation enables the facility to produce one battery pack approximately every 15 seconds and one inverter every 21 seconds.

Alongside the opening of the manufacturing center, Sigenergy introduced several new energy products designed for different market segments.

For residential users, the company launched SigenStor Neo, a modular home energy platform that combines solar power conversion, battery storage and intelligent energy management into a single integrated system.

For businesses and industrial users, Sigenergy introduced a 166-kilowatt photovoltaic inverter designed to improve efficiency in commercial solar installations.

The company also unveiled a new utility-scale inverter capable of delivering up to 500 kilowatts of output for large solar power plants.

Through these technological developments, Sigenergy aims to create a comprehensive energy platform capable of supporting households, businesses and large-scale power infrastructure worldwide.

The company believes that combining renewable energy technologies with artificial intelligence will be essential for building a smarter and more sustainable global energy network.
