Supasonik 2026 to Bring Together Malaysia’s Music Scene in Eight-Hour Festival at Kuala Lumpur Landmark

KUALA LUMPUR: Malaysia’s vibrant music community is set to take centre stage this month as Supasonik 2026 prepares to gather 10 local artists and bands for a large-scale music festival at Menara PT80 DBKL in the heart of the capital.

Scheduled to run from 4pm until midnight on June 13, the event is expected to attract music enthusiasts from across the country with a diverse lineup that reflects the growing depth and creativity of Malaysia’s contemporary music scene.

Organisers describe Supasonik 2026 as more than just a concert, positioning it instead as a celebration of local talent, artistic expression and the broader creative ecosystem that continues to shape the country’s entertainment industry.

The festival will feature performances by No Good, Slatan, Masdo, Eemrun x Dannqrack, Johny Comes Lately, Iqbal M., Hacktick!, Dependent, Gallagher and Seberang.

Together, the artists represent a wide spectrum of musical styles ranging from indie and alternative rock to hip-hop, contemporary pop and experimental sounds, offering audiences a varied and immersive live music experience.

Industry observers believe events such as Supasonik play an increasingly important role in supporting local musicians by creating opportunities to reach larger audiences while strengthening engagement between artists and fans.

The organisers have also expanded the festival’s reach through an accompanying initiative known as Supatour, a series of free acoustic performances conducted across seven states ahead of the main event.

The tour was designed to connect with grassroots music communities and bring the spirit of the festival directly to audiences outside the Klang Valley.

According to organisers, the response to the roadshow has been encouraging, demonstrating strong public interest in locally produced music and live performances.

The festival is expected to attract more than 2,000 attendees, including music fans, creative industry professionals, artists, students and members of Malaysia’s growing independent arts community.

Beyond the performances themselves, Supasonik aims to create a platform where musicians, content creators and cultural enthusiasts can interact and exchange ideas.

Organisers said one of the festival’s core objectives is to strengthen the local music ecosystem by providing a space where different genres, communities and artistic backgrounds can come together under one roof.

“Supasonik is not only about entertainment. It is about celebrating creativity, building connections and giving local artists the recognition they deserve. We want to create an environment where music lovers and creators can share experiences and inspire one another,” a representative said.

The festival also reflects a broader trend within Malaysia’s entertainment sector, where demand for locally produced content and independent music continues to grow.

Following years of transformation in the live entertainment industry, organisers believe audiences are increasingly seeking authentic experiences that highlight homegrown talent and cultural diversity.

With a carefully curated lineup and a strong emphasis on community engagement, Supasonik 2026 is expected to become one of the notable music events on Malaysia’s entertainment calendar this year.

Tickets for the festival are priced at RM119 excluding processing fees and are available through the organiser’s official ticketing platform.

As anticipation builds ahead of the event, organisers hope the festival will not only entertain audiences but also contribute meaningfully to the continued growth of Malaysia’s creative and music industries.
