
AMK Urges Police to Act Quickly and Expose Those Behind Alleged Plot to Undermine Government
KUALA LUMPUR, Feb 28 — Police have been urged to expedite investigations into allegations of a conspiracy aimed at toppling the government and threatening national stability, including identifying those responsible.
Angkatan Muda Keadilan (AMK) chief Muhammad Kamil Abdul Munim said the allegations must be taken seriously, warning that any such attempt could threaten Malaysia’s sovereignty.
He said any cooperation between foreign elements and local individuals would represent a major concern.
Claims raise serious national security concerns
Muhammad Kamil said reports of foreign involvement in efforts to pressure Malaysia’s institutions must be thoroughly investigated.
“This is not a minor issue. It directly involves the country’s sovereignty and dignity,” he said in a statement.
He stressed that authorities must uncover the truth.
Firm action needed regardless of status
He called on law enforcement agencies to take decisive action against anyone involved.
He said Malaysians deserve transparency.
“The country cannot tolerate individuals who betray national interests,” he said.
He emphasised the importance of accountability.
Police probe underway under Malaysian law
Inspector-General of Police Datuk Seri Mohd Khalid Ismail confirmed that police have received a report.
The case is being investigated under Section 124B of the Penal Code.
It is believed to involve a local influential figure and links to an international media organisation.
Truth must be revealed to protect national stability
Muhammad Kamil said uncovering the truth is essential to safeguarding Malaysia’s stability.
He stressed that those responsible must face legal consequences.
He said protecting national sovereignty remains a top priority.
