Wan Rosdy Urges Public to Avoid Actions That Could Offend Religious and Racial Sensitivities, UMPSA Case Under Review

KUANTAN, Feb 25 — Pahang Menteri Besar Wan Rosdy Wan Ismail has called on the public to refrain from any actions or remarks that could affect religious and racial sensitivities following a case involving a student at Universiti Malaysia Pahang Al-Sultan Abdullah (UMPSA).

He said the state government views the matter with seriousness as it involves allegations of insulting Islamic religious sanctity.

Wan Rosdy noted that such incidents are particularly sensitive, especially during Ramadan.

He said issues involving religion must be handled responsibly to prevent tensions.

Authorities tasked with conducting full investigation

Wan Rosdy said the matter has been handed over to the relevant authorities and university management.

He stressed that investigations must be conducted transparently and in accordance with the law.

He said appropriate action should be taken if wrongdoing is proven.

He also expressed confidence in the authorities’ ability to manage the case properly.

Public advised to act responsibly

Wan Rosdy urged Malaysians, especially young people, to be cautious in their actions and social media use.

He said irresponsible behaviour could affect unity and harmony.

He called on everyone to practise mutual respect and tolerance.

He said protecting harmony is a shared responsibility.
