
SPK Damansara Tragedy: Post-Mortem Reveals 89 Injuries on Woman in Alleged Domestic Killing
KUALA LUMPUR: A post-mortem examination has revealed that a woman found dead in a residence in Sunway SPK Damansara, Kepong sustained 89 injuries, intensifying public concern over the tragic domestic incident.
Kuala Lumpur police chief Fadil Marsus confirmed that the injuries included multiple stab wounds as well as defensive wounds believed to have been inflicted during a struggle.
The forensic report also indicated that the husband had 10 injuries on his body.
“The victim’s remains have been claimed by her family for burial. Investigation papers will be submitted to the Deputy Public Prosecutor on Monday for further action,” he said after attending the launch of Op Selamat 25 in conjunction with Chinese New Year celebrations.
Couple Discovered Inside Residence
Police responding to a report found the 54-year-old man and his 52-year-old wife lying motionless inside their home.
Sentul district police chief Ahmad Sukarno Mohd Zahari had earlier confirmed that both were discovered in a bloodied state.
Initial accounts suggested a lower number of stab wounds, but the comprehensive post-mortem later revealed a significantly higher number of injuries sustained by the woman.
Investigation Continues
Authorities believe the case may stem from domestic conflict, though investigations are ongoing to determine the exact motive.
Police are reviewing all relevant evidence, including the couple’s background and any prior disputes, before submitting findings to prosecutors.
Members of the public have been urged not to circulate unverified information that could disrupt the investigation.
