Anwar Tells PKR Members: Positions Mean Nothing Without Real Results

HULU KELANG: President of Parti Keadilan Rakyat, Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim, has reminded party members that titles and positions are meaningless without strong performance and genuine service to the people.

Speaking at the Selangor PKR Convention, Anwar said the mandate given by party members is a trust that must be fulfilled through hard work and dedication.

“This mandate is a responsibility to work. If you don’t want to work, you can leave. If you are willing to work, stay and strengthen the party,” he told delegates.

Warning Against Complaining Culture

Anwar said he was tired of listening to complaints that were not accompanied by constructive ideas or concrete actions.

He stressed that a culture of constant dissatisfaction would only weaken the party and erode public confidence.

“Complaining without contributing achieves nothing. We need members who are ready to serve and engage with the people,” he said.

Firm Stand Against Corruption

Anwar also called on PKR members to fully support the government’s anti-corruption agenda, stressing that no one would be spared because of rank or status.

“I don’t care if someone is a Tun, Tan Sri, minister, or former official. What matters is the people’s mandate and the nation’s future,” he said.

He added that anti-graft efforts would continue to be strengthened in cooperation with the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission.

Putting the Nation First

Anwar said the Pakatan Harapan-led unity government would not compromise in its efforts to safeguard the country and eliminate corruption.

“Now is the time to act. If not now, then when?” he asked.

He urged party members to remain focused, disciplined, and committed to delivering tangible results for the people.
