SINAR Introduces New Morning and Evening Show Hosts Starting February 9, 2026
KUALA LUMPUR: Malaysian radio station SINAR FM Malaysia has announced a major reshuffle of its on-air lineup, introducing new presenters for its morning and evening segments as part of efforts to remain relevant and engaging.
The move aims to refresh the station’s content while maintaining its signature identity as a leading retro music broadcaster.
Beginning February 9, 2026, the Gen Pagi SINAR morning show, airing from 6am to 10am, will feature Hefny, Roy Azman and Sharifah Shahira, bringing together humour, positive energy and relatable entertainment.
Meanwhile, the Brader Brader SINAR evening segment, from 4pm to 8pm, will be hosted by Falyq, Ray and Rahim, offering relaxed conversations and interactive content for listeners heading home after work.
Other Segments Remain Unchanged
Other programmes, including SINAR Solo, RSVP SINAR and Rehat and Relax SINAR, will continue as scheduled, ensuring consistency for loyal listeners.
SINAR Brand Manager Zureen Afendi said the changes form part of the station’s long-term strategy to strengthen its position in the competitive radio industry.
She noted that the new lineups were carefully selected based on chemistry, communication skills and audience appeal.
“Morning and evening slots attract the highest listenership. These new combinations are designed to bring fresh dynamics and stronger engagement,” she said.
Preserving SINAR’s Retro Identity
Zureen emphasised that despite the changes, SINAR remains committed to its “Best Retro Music” brand.
She said the station’s core values and nostalgic appeal will continue to be central to its programming.
“This renewal is about enhancing the listener experience without losing the essence that makes SINAR special,” she added.
As part of the Astro Audio network, SINAR continues to expand its digital presence with nearly four million social media followers and dedicated mobile applications.
