Agile Defense Chosen to Support Agentic AI Initiative for US Digital and AI Office

New Contract Focuses on Intelligent Automation for Enterprise Operations

MCLEAN, Virginia — Agile Defense has announced that it has secured a new contract through the Tradewinds acquisition ecosystem to support the development of agentic artificial intelligence technologies for the United States’ Chief Digital and Artificial Intelligence Office (CDAO).

The contract focuses on the Enterprise Mission Area within the CDAO, which is responsible for strengthening digital transformation and integrating artificial intelligence into organisational and enterprise operations.

Agile Defense, known for its expertise in digital transformation, cybersecurity, data analytics and AI solutions, said the project will help develop enterprise agentic AI workflows within real operational environments.

According to the company, the initiative is intended to evaluate how AI technologies can improve mission effectiveness while accelerating intelligent automation across enterprise systems.

Chief Transformation Officer of Agile Defense, Mike Pansky said the company is focused on building scalable and sustainable agentic AI systems capable of supporting long-term operational use.

He said Agile Defense’s approach goes beyond temporary pilot programmes and instead focuses on creating AI ecosystems capable of supporting broad enterprise deployment.

“At Agile Defense, we are building the foundations for scalable and sustainable agentic AI adoption rather than short-term experimental projects,” he said.

According to Pansky, the contract also demonstrates increasing confidence in the company’s technical capabilities in artificial intelligence development.

He added that Agile Defense hopes to improve enterprise operational efficiency while expanding the use of agentic AI technologies in large-scale organisational environments.

Under the Prototype OTA contract, the company will develop system architecture, digital platforms and implementation teams responsible for building enterprise agentic AI workflows.

The contract carries an initial value of US$2 million with a one-year implementation period.

Agile Defense said the technologies developed through the project will be tested in operational environments to evaluate the integration potential of next-generation AI models within enterprise workflows.

The initiative is expected to improve operational automation, strengthen intelligent analytics capabilities and accelerate organisational decision-making processes.

The company also explained that agentic AI has become a major focus of modern digital transformation because of its ability to autonomously perform complex tasks with minimal human involvement.

In recent years, AI technologies have increasingly been adopted across strategic sectors including security operations, mission management, enterprise analytics and large-scale data processing.

Government agencies and defence-related institutions have also expanded investments in agentic AI technologies as part of efforts to improve productivity and accelerate critical operational activities.

The new contract is viewed as another important step in strengthening the United States’ enterprise AI ecosystem while expanding the use of intelligent automation technologies across large-scale operational systems.
