Sufian Suhaimi Says First Child’s Arrival ‘Imminent’ as Due Date Nears
Kuala Lumpur — Malaysian singer Sufian Suhaimi is preparing to step into fatherhood, revealing that the birth of his first child could happen at any moment.
The 33-year-old shared that his wife, Rania Al Sadat, is now nearing 37 weeks of pregnancy, placing them in the final stage before delivery.
“We’re already at the waiting stage. It could happen anytime now,” he said during an appearance at the Seloka Lebaran 2026 event.
Although everything needed for the baby has been arranged, Sufian admitted that the emotional side of becoming a father for the first time still brings a sense of uncertainty.
“All the preparations are done, but mentally, there’s still that nervous feeling. I’ve heard from many people that no one feels fully ready for their first child, and I think I understand that now. Still, I’m excited,” he said.
To better equip himself, Sufian has been attending parenting classes and learning through digital platforms.
He also shared that his wife has remained in good condition throughout her pregnancy, with only mild symptoms experienced during the early stages.
According to him, Rania continues to maintain an active routine, including walking around three kilometres daily as she approaches her due date.
“She’s been doing really well. No serious complications, and even cravings have been minimal. She may seem gentle, but she’s actually very strong,” he said.
Sufian and Rania were married on May 2 last year.
