“I Travelled with Family and Friends, Not Just Him,” Says Anna Jobling
KUALA LUMPUR: Malaysian actress Anna Jobling has dismissed rumours surrounding her recent trip to Los Angeles, clarifying that the vacation was not a private getaway with her partner but involved family members and close friends.
Speaking to the media, Anna said the trip was meant to provide her with much-needed rest after months of hectic work commitments.
“I travelled with many people, including my family and friends. It wasn’t just the two of us. There were others with me throughout the trip,” she said.
She was met during the launch of her Raya campaign with Tomei Jewellery Malaysia at the company’s headquarters in Jalan Klang Lama.
Maintaining Personal Boundaries
Anna explained that although she shared some moments of her holiday on social media, she remains firm about keeping her personal life private.
She acknowledged that public figures are often subject to speculation whenever they post personal content online.
“I did share a few things, and it’s not a secret. But it’s still private. If there’s something I want people to know, I’ll share it myself,” she said.
She also expressed hope that fans would continue to support her and respect her personal space.
“I have the right to be happy as long as I take care of myself and don’t do anything harmful,” she added.
Handling Public Criticism
The actress admitted that she occasionally receives negative comments but chooses not to let them affect her emotionally.
According to her, most feedback from fans has been encouraging and uplifting.
“There will always be different opinions. What matters is that I know what’s best for me and that the people around me support my decisions,” she said.
Renewed Role as Brand Ambassador
In a separate development, Anna was reappointed as the brand ambassador for Tomei’s Raya 2026 campaign.
Titled Pulang, The Joy I Carry Home, the campaign features her in four distinctive styles inspired by various festive moments, showcasing collections such as Sri Puteri, Diamond Cut, Anastasia and the Tomei Diamond Collection.
Anna described the collaboration as a meaningful milestone in her career and expressed gratitude for the continued trust placed in her.
