Global Mind Australia and Farmacist Expand Strategic Alliance to Advance Data-Driven Precision Agriculture in ASEAN

BRISBANE: The Asia-Pacific agriculture sector is set for further transformation following a strategic partnership between Global Mind Australia (GMAA), AgriS (Thanh Thanh Cong – Bien Hoa JSC), and Farmacist aimed at accelerating sustainable and science-led farming from Australia into Southeast Asia.

Signed at the Trade and Investment Queensland Office in Brisbane, the agreement reflects a long-term commitment to strengthening knowledge transfer, agronomic excellence, and the commercialisation of advanced agricultural technologies.

The partnership focuses on improving soil health, resource efficiency, and climate resilience, while placing farmers at the centre of innovation and digital transformation.

Queensland Minister for Finance, Trade, Employment and Training, Ros Bates, said the collaboration would generate tangible benefits for regional communities through job creation, export growth, and long-term sector development.

She added that the initiative reinforces Queensland’s role as a leading hub for agricultural technology and innovation.

Farmacist as the Centre of Excellence

Under the cooperation framework, Farmacist will serve as the Centre of Excellence within the AgriS ecosystem, leading the standardisation, validation, and scaling of best-practice agronomic methods.

This role will underpin the establishment of research hubs, demonstration farms, and applied research platforms across Australia and Southeast Asia, ensuring that scientific knowledge is converted into field-ready solutions.

Commercialising Integrated AgriTech Solutions

A key objective of the partnership is to translate agronomic expertise into commercially viable services by integrating Farmacist’s data and advisory platforms into AgriS’s AgriOS system.

The partners will jointly develop end-to-end service models covering advisory services, farm inputs, mechanisation, and precision technologies.

Delivered through SaaS, FaaS, and DaaS platforms, these solutions are designed to help farmers optimise productivity, sustainability, and profitability through real-time data insights.

Supporting Long-Term Agricultural Transformation

The alliance builds on cooperation that began in 2022 through projects in Vietnam, Laos, Cambodia, and Australia, which later expanded into large-scale field implementation.

These initiatives laid the foundation for transitioning from project-based collaboration to a long-term strategic partnership.

AgriS Chairlady Dang Huynh Uc My said the partnership supports the company’s shift towards a platform-based, ecosystem-driven organisation.

She noted that linking governments, farmers, scientists, enterprises, and financial institutions is essential for building a resilient, data-driven agricultural value chain.

Meanwhile, Farmacist Director Jason Dowie described the agreement as a convergence of shared values, expertise, and global ambition.

Industry analysts believe the partnership will strengthen Australia-ASEAN agricultural cooperation and position both parties as leaders in sustainable and precision farming.

With rising pressure on food security, climate adaptation, and resource management, the collaboration is expected to play a pivotal role in shaping the future of high-tech agriculture across the region.
