Epson Unveils 10-Color UV Flatbed Printer to Expand Versatility in Modern Printing

ORLANDO, April 9 — Epson America, Inc. has introduced the SureColor V4000, a new 10-color UV flatbed printer designed to meet the evolving demands of the signage and printing industry.

Launched at the ISA Sign Expo 2026, the printer is engineered to deliver high-quality output across a wide range of substrates while maintaining a compact footprint suitable for modern production environments.

The SureColor V4000 utilises UltraChrome UV inks with an expanded 10-color set, enabling vibrant, detailed prints on materials such as rigid boards, promotional products and fine art pieces.

According to Epson product manager David Bistrovic, the printer simplifies production by eliminating traditional multi-step processes, allowing direct-to-substrate printing for faster and more efficient workflows.

He noted that the device is capable of producing precise details, including Braille output, while enhancing productivity for print service providers.

Equipped with three PrecisionCore Micro TFP printheads, the printer delivers sharp image quality, clear small text and multi-layer printing in a single pass, improving operational efficiency.

It features a large print area measuring 27.5 inches by 38.5 inches, enabling simultaneous production of multiple signage outputs.

The system also includes touchless automatic height detection, allowing it to accommodate materials up to 7.8 inches thick, significantly expanding its application range.

Additional features such as gloss and matte varnish inks enable enhanced textures and finishes, adding visual and tactile appeal to printed products.

A dedicated white ink system ensures high opacity on dark or transparent surfaces, supported by a closed-loop circulation mechanism that reduces waste and maintains consistent ink density.

The printer is designed for ease of use, with an open-bed layout and front-facing controls, while automated printhead maintenance helps minimise downtime.

Its versatility allows printing on a wide variety of materials, including wood, plastic, metal and glass, making it suitable for signage, photography, fine art and promotional items like keychains and golf balls.

With a compact design that fits standard production spaces and operates on conventional power supply, the SureColor V4000 offers flexible deployment options.

Epson has also integrated management tools such as Epson Edge Print Pro RIP software and Epson Cloud Solution PORT to streamline production monitoring and workflow management.

Overall, the launch of the SureColor V4000 highlights Epson’s continued focus on innovation, enabling print businesses to expand capabilities and tap into new market opportunities.
