Fizz Fairuz Hopes to Enrol Children in Tahfiz School for Balanced Education
KUANTAN, April 8 — Malaysian actor Fizz Fairuz has expressed his aspiration to enrol his children in Maahad Tahfiz Turath Negeri Pahang, highlighting his desire to provide a balanced education that integrates both spiritual and academic development.
He said the outstanding performance achieved by the institution in the 2025 Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) examination deeply moved him, particularly as a proud native of Pahang.
According to Fizz, the school’s success demonstrates that Quran-based education is not only capable of producing students with strong religious grounding but also those who excel academically.
He admitted feeling emotional upon seeing the impressive achievements of the students, many of whom attained top grades, which further strengthened his intention to consider such an educational pathway for his children.
In the 2025 SPM results, the institution recorded an impressive school average grade (GPS) of 0.60, with a significant number of candidates achieving straight As — a remarkable accomplishment, especially for a relatively new examination centre.
Fizz noted that the achievement is even more meaningful given that the school only recently began operating as its own examination centre, yet managed to produce outstanding results.
He emphasised that the success of the students proves that memorising and internalising the Quran does not hinder academic excellence. Instead, it serves as a strong foundation that enhances discipline, focus and overall performance.
He further stated that students who embrace the Quran as a guiding principle in life tend to develop strong character and a positive mindset, which contribute to their academic achievements.
Fizz also expressed pride in the accomplishments of students from his home state and voiced hope that such excellence will continue in the years to come.
He believes institutions like MTTNP play a vital role in nurturing well-rounded individuals who are equipped with intellectual capability, spiritual strength and strong moral values.
Such an integrated education system, he said, is essential in preparing future generations to take on leadership roles and contribute meaningfully to society.
Fizz added that, given the opportunity, he would seriously consider enrolling his children in such an institution to ensure they receive holistic education.
For the record, he is married to Almy Nadia, and the couple has five children.
