IDBS Receives Biologics Digitalisation Software Innovation Award at ABEA 2026
WOKING, United Kingdom — IDBS, a cloud software provider serving the biopharmaceutical industry and part of the Danaher group, has been recognised with the Best Biologics Digitalisation: Software Innovation Award at the Asia Pacific Biopharma Excellence Awards (ABEA) 2026.
The award highlights the company’s role in advancing digital transformation and strengthening innovation within the biopharmaceutical industry across the Asia-Pacific region.
The accolade is part of ABEA’s biologics digitalisation category, which recognises technological advancements that modernise the development of biologic medicines through the adoption of digital platforms.
The recognition reflects the increasing importance of digital tools in improving operational efficiency, enhancing data accuracy and accelerating scientific progress within the biopharma sector.
IDBS General Manager Pietro Forgione said the award represents a major milestone for the organisation and its global teams who continue to develop innovative digital solutions for the industry.
He noted that biologics development is becoming increasingly complex, requiring advanced technologies capable of simplifying scientific workflows and accelerating research outcomes.
Forgione explained that IDBS aims to help biopharmaceutical organisations manage research data and processes more effectively while maintaining the highest standards of quality and data integrity.
He added that recognition from the Asia-Pacific biopharmaceutical community demonstrates the impact that IDBS technology is delivering to organisations worldwide.
The award ceremony was held on March 11 at the Sands Expo & Convention Centre in Singapore alongside IMAPAC’s Biologics World Asia conference.
The event gathered around 1,300 industry leaders from across the Asia-Pacific region to discuss emerging technologies and future developments in the biopharma industry.
IDBS supports biopharmaceutical companies in leveraging artificial intelligence and machine learning to accelerate drug development and enhance scientific research.
The company also serves as a long-term technology partner to approximately 80 per cent of the world’s top 20 biopharmaceutical companies.
With more than 35 years of experience in scientific informatics, IDBS develops software solutions that help organisations plan, manage and coordinate research and manufacturing processes more efficiently.
Its platforms also enable scientists to organise and structure research data throughout the entire product lifecycle, from early research and development stages to manufacturing.
Among its flagship technologies are the IDBS E-WorkBook software as well as the IDBS Polar and PIMS cloud platforms, designed to support data-driven decision-making in both regulated and non-regulated research environments.
