Pusrawi Specialist Hospital Rebranding Strengthens Shariah-Compliant and Inclusive Healthcare Services
KUALA LUMPUR: The recent rebranding of Hospital Pakar Pusrawi Kuala Lumpur reflects the institution’s continued commitment to delivering high-quality, compassionate, and Shariah-compliant healthcare services.
Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department (Religious Affairs), Dr Zulkifli Hasan, said the transformation goes beyond corporate identity and involves comprehensive improvements across the hospital’s entire service ecosystem.
He explained that the rebranding initiative includes infrastructure upgrades, modern facilities, advanced medical equipment, enhanced professional expertise, and strengthened patient support systems.
“Pusrawi has long been a trusted healthcare brand. To elevate it further, a structured strategy, strong governance, and value-driven services are essential,” he said at the official launch ceremony.
According to Dr Zulkifli, the hospital’s new direction aligns with the concept of ‘Rahmatan Lil Alamin’, which promotes inclusive, ethical, and people-centred services that benefit society as a whole.
The event was also attended by AmBank Group’s Emeritus Chairman and Honorary Adviser, Azman Hashim, who is also Chairman of the Azman Hashim Foundation.
Established in 1984, Pusrawi is a private hospital wholly owned by Majlis Agama Islam Wilayah Persekutuan, and has played a significant role in providing Islamic-based healthcare services in Malaysia.
As part of the rebranding programme, the hospital also launched the Azman Hashim Cancer Treatment Department (JRKAH), which offers more integrated and comprehensive oncology services.
Dr Zulkifli expressed satisfaction with the department’s facilities, noting that they meet current medical standards and improve access to quality cancer care.
He encouraged the hospital to engage more actively with the public to raise awareness about cancer prevention, early detection, and timely treatment.
“Beyond sustaining operations, Pusrawi must continue fulfilling its social responsibility by educating the public on health issues, in line with the MADANI government agenda,” he said.
The rebranding exercise is seen as a strategic move to position Pusrawi as a leading Islamic healthcare provider that combines professionalism, compassion, and modern medical excellence.
Moving forward, the hospital aims to strengthen its reputation as a trusted medical institution that serves both local and international patients while upholding ethical and spiritual values.
