GUESS Watches unveils AI-inspired limited edition timepiece blending technology with human craftsmanship
SHELTON, Connecticut: GUESS Watches has introduced a new limited-edition model that showcases how artificial intelligence can complement, rather than replace, human creativity, with the launch of the AI Venix collection.
Designed as a fusion of digital inspiration and traditional watchmaking, the AI Venix represents the brand’s latest exploration of artificial intelligence as a creative tool while reaffirming that the final design, engineering and production remain firmly in human hands.
The release reflects a growing trend among fashion brands experimenting with AI-generated concepts to inspire new products without compromising craftsmanship or design expertise.
Built on the company’s popular Venix platform, the new model features a distinctive pixel camouflage motif inspired by digital imagery, giving the analogue watch a contemporary aesthetic influenced by the visual language of artificial intelligence and virtual environments.
The design concept originated from AI-generated visual references, which served as the starting point for GUESS designers to develop a wearable product through conventional design processes.
According to the company, every stage of development—from refining the graphic pattern and selecting materials to engineering the finished watch—was completed by its in-house design and product teams.
The result is a watch that combines AI-assisted concept development with human creativity, highlighting how emerging technologies can support innovation without replacing the role of designers.
The AI Venix features a 42mm black case, multifunction dial and silicone strap, all wrapped in a continuous pixel camouflage pattern to create a cohesive and modern appearance.
GUESS said the unified design is intended to capture the energy of the digital age while maintaining the bold fashion identity associated with the brand.
Adding to its exclusivity, the company is producing only 200 individually numbered pieces, with the model available exclusively through the official GUESS Watches online store.
Each watch is also packaged in specially designed presentation packaging featuring the same pixel-inspired camouflage artwork, extending the product’s visual identity beyond the timepiece itself.
GUESS Watches President and Chief Commercial Officer Brett Gibson said the project demonstrates that artificial intelligence should be viewed as a creative partner rather than a substitute for human talent.
He said AI helped generate fresh visual ideas during the early stages of development, while the company’s designers transformed those concepts into a finished product through technical expertise, craftsmanship and creative judgement.
The launch comes as luxury and fashion brands increasingly explore AI-powered technologies to accelerate product ideation, personalise customer experiences and enhance creative workflows.
Rather than positioning AI as the creator, GUESS said the AI Venix embraces the philosophy of “AI Imagined. Human Crafted.”, emphasising that technology serves as an inspiration tool while people remain responsible for translating concepts into commercially viable products.
By combining digital experimentation with traditional product development, the AI Venix reflects the evolving relationship between technology and fashion, offering collectors a limited-edition timepiece that celebrates innovation while preserving the value of human creativity.
