Zahid Vows to Strengthen Mara’s Role in Producing Global Bumiputera Talent as Agency Marks 60th Anniversary

KUALA LUMPUR, March 2 — Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi has pledged to further strengthen Majlis Amanah Rakyat (Mara) to ensure more Bumiputera youths can emerge as globally competitive professionals, entrepreneurs, and leaders.

He said Mara, established on March 1, 1966, remains a key institution in advancing Bumiputera socio-economic development.

According to him, the agency continues to play a crucial role in shaping future talent.

Institution has transformed millions of lives

Ahmad Zahid said Mara has created opportunities for millions of Malaysians through education and training.

He said many successful professionals and entrepreneurs today benefited from Mara’s support.

He added that the institution has helped build confidence and skills among Bumiputera communities.

He described Mara as a bridge that connects ambition with achievement.

Government committed to strengthening Mara’s mission

Ahmad Zahid said the government will continue enhancing Mara’s role to meet future challenges.

He said Mara will remain central in producing future leaders.

He also expressed appreciation to Mara staff for their contributions.

He said their efforts have helped strengthen the nation.

Tribute to Malaysian Army on its anniversary

Ahmad Zahid also paid tribute to the Malaysian Army on its 93rd anniversary.

He said the army plays a key role in defending national sovereignty.

He expressed hope that the armed forces will continue to safeguard peace and stability.
