Tulus app enables easier zakat fitrah payment across 10 states
PETALING JAYA, Feb 18 — Muslims in Malaysia now have a more convenient option to pay their zakat fitrah through the Tulus application, which offers digital payment services in 10 states nationwide.
Chief Operating Officer of Tulus Digital Sdn. Bhd., Shahril Emran, said the service is available in the Federal Territories, Selangor, Negeri Sembilan, Johor, Penang, Terengganu, Kelantan, Perlis, Sabah and Sarawak.
He explained that users can select their respective state and complete the payment directly through a secure and accessible digital platform.
The system allows Muslims to fulfil their zakat obligation conveniently without needing to visit physical counters.
“This initiative supports the digital transformation of Islamic social finance and strengthens the national zakat ecosystem,” he said in a statement.
The Tulus application can be downloaded from Google Play Store and Apple App Store, while payments are also available via its official website.
At the same time, the company launched its Ramadan 1447H campaign titled ‘BerkatZakat – One click, endless blessings’ to encourage digital zakat payments.
Shahril said the platform has gained growing trust among Malaysians as a reliable channel for zakat and charitable contributions.
In addition to zakat fitrah, the application also supports wakaf, infaq and sadaqah.
He added that all transactions are conducted in accordance with Shariah principles and guided by Maqasid Al-Shariah to ensure transparency and accountability.
The digital service is expected to make zakat payment more efficient, especially during the Ramadan period.
