PKR Remains Strong After 27 Years, Fahmi Says Reform Spirit Still Alive
Party resilience rooted in reform principles
KUALA LUMPUR: Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR) has remained resilient after 27 years of navigating challenges in Malaysia’s political landscape since its establishment in 1999.
PKR Information Chief Fahmi Fadzil said the party’s endurance is driven by its strong principles and unwavering commitment to reform.
He noted that despite facing numerous obstacles over the years, PKR has continued to grow and maintain its position as a party representing the people’s aspirations.
Reform agenda remains central
Fahmi emphasised that PKR was founded on the spirit of reform, aiming to uphold justice, oppose oppression and defend the voice of the rakyat.
He said these core values remain central to the party’s identity, even as political dynamics evolve.
According to him, the party’s journey has been filled with challenges, but its firm principles have ensured its continuity and relevance.
Continuing to serve as a platform for the people
Fahmi said PKR continues to serve as a platform of hope, with a vision to build a more just, democratic and integrity-driven Malaysia.
He added that the party’s longevity reflects the trust it has earned from the public over time.
The 27th anniversary, he said, is also a reminder that the reform agenda is ongoing and must be pursued with renewed determination.
Call to sustain the reform movement
Fahmi urged party members and supporters to keep the spirit of reform alive as they face future challenges.
He stressed that the struggle is not merely historical, but an ongoing responsibility to ensure national progress and fairness.
“The reform spirit lives on, and our journey is far from over,” he said.
