The Raja of Perlis, Tuanku Syed Sirajuddin Jamalullail, said the development of quality human capital should not rely solely on academic excellence but must also be rooted in strong values, good character and a deep understanding of Islamic teachings.

According to the ruler, education founded on knowledge and proper conduct is essential in shaping a harmonious society capable of contributing to the progress of the state and the nation.

“I call upon all levels of society to continue working together in supporting the development of Islamic education for the future of our children and the wellbeing of the state that we cherish,” the ruler said.

“A state becomes stronger when its people possess knowledge, uphold good values and remain united.

“I hope MADI will continue to grow as a centre of educational excellence and play a significant role in nurturing young people who love their religion, nation and homeland,” he said.

The ruler also expressed hope that the new facilities would be fully utilised for educational programmes, human capital development initiatives and community activities.

Such efforts, he said, would help strengthen social bonds and further promote Islamic values and teachings in the state.
