NADMA Unveils MyDIMS App to Enhance Real-Time Disaster Alerts and Public Reporting

KUALA LUMPUR, April 25 — National Disaster Management Agency has introduced the Malaysia Disaster Information Management System (MyDIMS), a digital platform designed to deliver real-time disaster updates and enable the public to report incidents directly.

The launch was officiated by NADMA director-general Meor Ismail Meor Akim during the Resilient Asia 2026 event in Kuala Lumpur.

Integrated Platform for Multi-Agency Data

The MyDIMS application consolidates alerts and data from multiple technical agencies into a single, accessible platform.

Users can track up-to-date information on disaster types, affected populations and the status of evacuation centres nationwide.

Smart Notifications Enable Early Response

A key feature of the app is its ability to send automatic alerts to users within a 25-kilometre radius of a disaster zone.

This allows individuals to respond promptly and take necessary precautions ahead of escalating situations.

Navigation Tools Improve Evacuation Planning

MyDIMS also includes digital mapping features that guide users to evacuation centres.

It provides real-time updates on whether centres are open and their capacity, helping to streamline evacuation efforts.

Direct Access to Emergency Assistance

The app integrates a quick-dial function for the MERS 999 emergency hotline, enabling faster access to help.

It also serves as a central information hub by linking to related applications such as myCuaca, MyPublic InfoBanjir, MyJAS EQMS, Bencana JKR, MyIBJKM and myPasangSurut.

Location-Based Support Enhances Response

Users can locate emergency contact numbers for disaster operation centres at district and state levels, as well as nearby response agencies based on their current location.

This feature improves coordination and response efficiency during emergencies.

Available for Download Nationwide

The MyDIMS application is now available on both Google Play Store and Apple App Store, making it widely accessible to the public.

The initiative marks a significant step in leveraging digital technology to strengthen Malaysia’s disaster preparedness and response capabilities.
