Intan Najuwa Shares Final Pregnancy Journey as Sleepless Nights Signal Baby’s Arrival Is Near
PETALING JAYA: Actress Datin Intan Najuwa has opened up about the physical and emotional changes she is experiencing as she enters the final weeks of her second pregnancy, revealing that persistent Braxton Hicks contractions and increasingly restless nights have become part of her daily routine.
With her pregnancy approaching the 36-week mark, Intan shared that her body has begun showing signs commonly associated with the final stretch before childbirth. Posting on Threads, the actress described how her abdomen has been tightening frequently, accompanied by stronger false contractions that have made it increasingly difficult to enjoy a full night’s sleep.
According to Intan, the discomfort has become more noticeable over the past few days, leaving her exhausted after several consecutive nights of interrupted rest.
“My pregnancy will reach 36 weeks in a few days, but my tummy has already been tightening almost non-stop. The Braxton Hicks contractions are also getting really strong,” she shared.
The actress also reflected on how different this pregnancy has been compared with her first experience when carrying her daughter, Imane Lunara.
She explained that many of the symptoms she is experiencing now appeared much later during her first pregnancy, making this journey feel quite different despite already having gone through motherhood once before.
“When I was pregnant with Lunara, these signs came much later. Now I’ve entered the phase where sleeping has become difficult. I’ve lost sleep for several nights and I’m starting to look like a panda,” she joked.
Intan added that she had been particularly attentive throughout her first pregnancy because everything was new to her. However, she only began experiencing similar contractions when she was around 37 weeks pregnant.
Her candid update quickly drew warm responses from followers, many of whom offered words of encouragement and prayers for a safe delivery.
Supporters flooded the comments section with well wishes, expressing hope that both mother and baby would remain healthy throughout the remaining weeks of pregnancy and that the delivery process would go smoothly.
Intan has frequently shared snippets of her motherhood journey with fans, giving followers a glimpse into both the joyful and challenging moments of pregnancy and parenting.
The actress married businessman Datuk Ahmad Asraf Azman on Aug 18, 2023. The couple welcomed their first child, daughter Imane Lunara, on Dec 15, 2024.
As she prepares to welcome another addition to the family, Intan’s latest update resonated with many mothers who related to the physical demands of late pregnancy, while her light-hearted outlook despite the sleepless nights earned admiration from fans eagerly awaiting news of the baby’s arrival.
