Hun Haqeem Hopes to Reunite with Nabila Huda After ‘Dream Come True’ Collaboration in Cela
HULU LANGAT, July 3 — Actor Hun Haqeem says working alongside award-winning actress Nabila Huda in the upcoming Viu Original series Cela has been one of the most memorable experiences of his acting career, describing the opportunity as the fulfilment of a long-held ambition.
Hun, whose full name is Haqeem Hermy, said he never expected that he would eventually have the chance to share the screen with one of Malaysia’s most respected actresses, making the project particularly meaningful to him.
Speaking during a recent filming session for Cela in Hulu Langat, the 28-year-old said collaborating with Nabila had exceeded his expectations and left him hoping they would be paired together again in future productions.
According to Hun, he has long admired Nabila’s work and regards her as one of the industry’s finest performers.
He said acting alongside her felt like “a dream come true” and admitted he was genuinely surprised when the opportunity finally materialised.
Hun also revealed that any nervousness he had before meeting Nabila quickly disappeared once filming began.
He described the actress as warm, approachable and someone who naturally creates a comfortable atmosphere for everyone on set.
Rather than being intimidated, Hun said he found it easy to work with her because of her friendly personality and positive interactions with the cast and production crew.
He added that Nabila frequently joked with colleagues and maintained a cheerful presence throughout filming, qualities that further increased his admiration for the actress.
Reflecting on their performances in Cela, Hun said the chemistry between them developed naturally without requiring extensive effort.
He explained that while it was difficult to pinpoint exactly why their on-screen partnership worked so well, the mutual comfort they shared off camera translated smoothly into their performances during filming.
As a result, he said many of their scenes felt more natural and easier to execute, allowing both actors to focus on delivering the emotional demands of the story.
Hun also credited director Feroz Kader for helping shape their performances throughout the production.
He said the director’s guidance played an important role in ensuring each scene was brought to life effectively while helping the cast build convincing relationships on screen.
Besides Hun Haqeem and Nabila Huda, Cela also features Zarif Ghazzi, Datuk Seri Eizlan Yusof, Lisdawati and several other actors.
The Viu Original production is scheduled to premiere in August.
