Huawei Strengthens Intelligent Finance Transformation With New AI and Infrastructure Solutions at HiFS 2026

SHANGHAI: Huawei has intensified its push into intelligent finance transformation by unveiling a range of new artificial intelligence (AI), digital infrastructure and data solutions at the Huawei Intelligent Finance Summit (HiFS) 2026 in Shanghai.

The international summit, themed “Hello Fintelligent World: Beyond Digital, Advance to Agentic Banking”, served as a platform for Huawei to outline its strategy in helping financial institutions accelerate large-scale AI adoption while building smarter, more flexible and resilient banking ecosystems.

Among the major announcements were the launches of Financial Data Intelligence Solution 6.0, Digital CORE Solution 6.0 and a new AI computing infrastructure designed to support next-generation financial technology development.

Huawei Expands Intelligent Finance Ecosystem

Huawei Digital Finance BU chief executive officer Jason Cao said the company is focusing on building a more open and sustainable intelligent finance ecosystem through close collaboration with customers and global partners.

According to him, Huawei’s strategy in the financial sector has evolved significantly over the past 16 years, progressing from hardware and software infrastructure into full-scale industry solutions.

He said Huawei’s current priorities include strengthening resilient ICT infrastructure, expanding the global RONGHAI ecosystem, accelerating Agentic AI deployment and enhancing localized service capabilities.

“Financial institutions are entering a new stage of AI adoption that requires more stable, flexible and scalable operational systems,” he said.

Hybrid AI and Open-Source Models Take Centre Stage

To accelerate AI adoption across financial services, Huawei introduced a hybrid AI architecture powered by open-source foundation models aimed at balancing security, compliance, cost efficiency and operational performance.

The strategy focuses on four key business areas — intelligent customer interaction, operational efficiency, AI-driven risk management and revenue growth.

Together with strategic partners, Huawei also launched nine AI Agent solutions tailored for financial applications including customer management, risk monitoring and workflow automation.

In addition, the company announced plans to develop more than 10,000 “Finance + AI” professionals globally within the next three years to address growing industry demand for digital finance talent.

New Data Solutions Improve Operational Efficiency

Huawei also unveiled its Financial Data Intelligence Solution 6.0 featuring upgrades in data platforms, governance and analytics applications.

The solution enables financial institutions to process both structured and unstructured data such as videos and documents more efficiently through AI-powered data lake technology.

In cybersecurity, Huawei partnered with TrustDecision to introduce an intelligent anti-fraud solution capable of detecting suspicious activities within just 30 milliseconds.

The company also collaborated with Sensors Data to develop a hyper-personalized marketing solution utilizing more than 5,000 customer tags to enhance user engagement strategies.

Digital CORE 6.0 Accelerates Legacy Modernisation

Beyond data intelligence, Huawei introduced Digital CORE Solution 6.0 focused on modernizing financial institutions’ legacy core systems.

The upgraded platform includes enhancements in AI-powered application development, operational engineering, system architecture and management platforms.

According to Huawei, its AI modernization technology developed with Stefanini and Sunline achieved adoption rates exceeding 90 per cent in legacy code migration projects.

The solution also supports cell-based architecture and auto-scaling technology capable of handling traffic surges up to ten times normal capacity while maintaining 99.999 per cent system availability.

New AI Infrastructure Enhances Resilience

To strengthen financial sector resilience in the AI era, Huawei also introduced its “4 Zeros” infrastructure concept focused on data centre stability, disaster recovery and large-scale AI operations.

The company additionally launched the Atlas 850E SuperPoD, offering high-performance AI computing capabilities tailored for global financial institutions.

Huawei said the integration of AI computing and general-purpose computing infrastructure would help financial institutions accelerate digital innovation while maintaining stable and secure operations.
