BN Perak Deploys Election Machinery to Johor and Negeri Sembilan for 13 State Seats

IPOH: Barisan Nasional (BN) Perak will mobilise its party machinery and members to Johor and Negeri Sembilan to assist election campaigns in 13 state constituencies ahead of the upcoming state elections in both states.

BN Perak chairman Datuk Seri Saarani Mohamad said preparations are already underway following a request from the coalition’s central leadership for the state chapter to support campaign operations in selected constituencies.

According to Saarani, it is a long-standing practice for BN state chapters to assist one another during elections, and BN Perak is fully prepared to play its role.

“As usual, we received a request from BN headquarters to help strengthen the election machinery.

“We have already organised our teams and they are ready to be deployed to the designated constituencies,” he told reporters after attending the Mesra Hari Bertemu Pelanggan programme at Stadium Indera Mulia here today.

For the Johor state election, Saarani said BN Perak will focus on five state seats located within the parliamentary constituencies of Ledang and Pagoh.

The constituencies under Pagoh are Bukit Kepong and Bukit Pasir, while those under Ledang are Gambir, Tangkak and Serom.

“All these areas will receive support from BN Perak.

“Our teams have been organised and they are prepared to begin work once the campaign period starts,” he said.

In Negeri Sembilan, BN Perak will assist campaign operations in two parliamentary constituencies, namely Kuala Pilah and Tampin.

The five state seats under Kuala Pilah are Juasseh, Seri Menanti, Senaling, Pilah and Johol.

Meanwhile, the Tampin parliamentary constituency comprises Gemas, Gemencheh and Repah, all of which will receive assistance from BN Perak’s campaign teams.

Saarani said the cooperation reflects the coalition’s spirit of teamwork and commitment to ensuring election campaigns are carried out efficiently across all states.

“We have always practised mutual support within BN.

“When elections are held in another state, we will help them, and when it is our turn, they will do the same for us,” he said.

Commenting on the Election Commission’s decision to hold the Johor and Negeri Sembilan elections separately, Saarani said the matter falls entirely under the commission’s jurisdiction.

Political parties, he added, would simply adapt their campaign strategies according to the timetable announced.

“We do not decide the election dates because that is the Election Commission’s responsibility.

“Whatever decision is made, we will adjust and organise our campaign efforts accordingly,” he said.

The Election Commission has fixed June 27 as nomination day for the Johor state election, followed by early voting on July 7 and polling day on July 11.

For Negeri Sembilan, nomination day is set for July 18, early voting on July 28 and polling day on August 1.
