
Genting Malaysia, AGIBOT Join Forces to Drive Next-Gen AI Robotics in Entertainment Sector
KUALA LUMPUR: Genting Malaysia is advancing its digital transformation strategy through a partnership with AGIBOT Innovation to deploy embodied artificial intelligence (AI) robotics across its hospitality and entertainment ecosystem.
The collaboration, formalised at the AGIBOT Partners Conference 2026 in Shanghai, signals a move towards integrating humanoid robotics into real-world guest environments.
Resorts World Genting chief operating officer Aaron Chia said the initiative represents a shift towards more immersive, technology-driven guest experiences within integrated resorts.
AI Robotics to Redefine Service Delivery
He highlighted that embodied AI solutions could enhance operational efficiency while introducing more engaging and personalised interactions for visitors.
The partnership will focus on deploying robotics across key areas including theme parks, hotels and live entertainment, with humanoid robots expected to take on roles ranging from guest assistance to performance integration.
Flagship Robotics Showcase Planned for 2027
As part of the rollout, AGIBOT will debut Malaysia’s first large-scale Robotics Gala Performance at Resorts World Genting in early 2027.
The showcase will combine advanced AI robotics with live entertainment, offering a new form of interactive audience experience.
Long-Term Development Strategy in Place
Beyond performances, the collaboration includes joint research and development initiatives, pilot deployments and the creation of scalable robotics applications across multiple business segments.
AGIBOT’s regional president Abel Deng said the partnership merges cutting-edge robotics innovation with operational expertise to reshape service standards and customer engagement.
He added that humanoid robotics will play an increasingly important role in enhancing human experiences within future entertainment and hospitality environments.
