Zeekr X 2026 Opens for Booking in Malaysia with Built-In Fridge, Auto Doors and Faster Charging
PETALING JAYA: Zeekr has officially opened bookings for the updated 2026 Zeekr X in Malaysia, introducing a range of enhancements that strengthen the premium electric crossover’s appeal in an increasingly competitive EV market.
The refreshed model arrives with significant upgrades across both the Premium Rear-Wheel Drive (RWD) and Flagship All-Wheel Drive (AWD) variants, focusing on performance, convenience, charging efficiency and advanced technology.
Among the headline additions are automatic front doors, a built-in refrigerator and an intelligent interactive B-pillar system, features rarely found in electric vehicles within this segment.
These technologies are offered as standard equipment on both variants, reflecting Zeekr’s strategy of delivering a more premium ownership experience without requiring extensive optional upgrades.
The 2026 Zeekr X is expected to be priced between RM160,000 and RM180,000 in Malaysia.
Customers can already place bookings at authorised Zeekr showrooms nationwide, although the company has yet to announce an official launch date or delivery schedule.
The new model is currently being showcased at the Kuala Lumpur International Mobility Show (KLIMS) 2026, taking place at MITEC until June 21, alongside other premium models including the Zeekr 9X and Zeekr 009 Grand.
Beyond cosmetic updates, the latest Zeekr X introduces practical improvements aimed at enhancing everyday usability.
Cargo capacity has increased from 362 litres to 404 litres, providing owners with greater storage flexibility.
The cabin also receives a multifunction steering wheel with touch-bar controls and a revised interior layout designed to deliver a more sophisticated driving environment.
The flagship AWD variant benefits from a substantial performance boost, now producing 365kW (489hp) and 573Nm of torque.
The additional power allows the electric crossover to accelerate from 0 to 100km/h in just 3.7 seconds, placing it among the quickest vehicles in its category.
Charging performance has also been improved significantly.
The onboard AC charger has been upgraded from 11kW to 22kW, enabling a full battery recharge in approximately four hours under suitable conditions.
The model offers a WLTP-rated driving range of up to 445 kilometres on a full charge.
Additional premium equipment for the AWD version includes ventilated and massage-equipped front seats, a black interior theme with red seatbelts, 20-inch forged black wheels and exclusive exterior colour options known as Onyx Black and Matte Khaki Green.
Meanwhile, the Premium RWD variant now delivers 250kW (335hp) and 373Nm of torque.
Its onboard AC charging capability has been upgraded from 7kW to 11kW, reducing charging times and allowing a full recharge in around 7.5 hours.
The rear-wheel-drive model provides a WLTP-rated range of up to 415 kilometres.
Further upgrades include a head-up display (HUD), newly designed 19-inch wheels and a distinctive dual-tone white-and-black interior.
Customers choosing the Premium variant will also have access to a new exterior colour called Porcelain Pink.
Safety remains a major focus for the updated Zeekr X.
The vehicle comes equipped with seven airbags and a comprehensive Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS) suite.
The safety package is supported by five high-definition cameras, five millimetre-wave radars and 12 ultrasonic sensors, providing enhanced awareness and driver assistance capabilities.
Zeekr Intelligent Technology Malaysia General Manager Eddy Lu said the upgraded model was developed to meet the expectations of modern EV buyers seeking innovation, performance and practicality in a single package.
According to him, the 2026 Zeekr X goes beyond a simple facelift by introducing meaningful upgrades that improve driving performance, cabin comfort and overall ownership experience.
With stronger specifications, faster charging capabilities and unique premium features, the latest Zeekr X is expected to further strengthen Zeekr’s position in Malaysia’s growing electric vehicle market.
