
Three Malaysians Selected for QECT 100 Young Leaders, To Receive Royal Honour in London
KUALA LUMPUR: Three Malaysians have been recognised as part of the 2026 cohort of the Queen Elizabeth II Commonwealth Trust 100 Young Leaders, placing them among distinguished youth changemakers across the Commonwealth.
The initiative, established in tribute to Queen Elizabeth II, honours individuals aged 18 to 35 who are driving impact in sectors such as education, healthcare, environmental sustainability and social inclusion. This year’s edition also marks what would have been the late Queen’s 100th birthday.
Malaysian representatives gain international recognition
The three recipients from Malaysia are Sarah Callista Ng Xue Qi, 19; Ho Wei Liang, 27; and Arissa Jemaima, 29.
They were selected for their contributions in community empowerment, technological advancement and healthcare initiatives.
Sarah, founder of Hope2Kids, has led programmes aimed at supporting underprivileged children while spearheading cross-border youth volunteer efforts.
Ho has focused on advancing access to artificial intelligence and STEM education, mentoring over 1,200 youths and contributing to global discourse on AI governance and climate innovation.
Arissa heads Doctors on Ground, which has conducted hundreds of outreach missions, alongside her involvement in corporate social responsibility and international public health research.
Royal ceremony set for June
The award ceremony will be held at St James’s Palace in June 2026, with King Charles III serving as patron of the Trust.
A milestone for Malaysian youth
The trio said the recognition reflects the growing presence of Malaysian youth on the global stage and expressed hope it will inspire others to contribute towards meaningful change.
