SPANA Charts Expansion Path with 10 New Outlets, Aims to Deepen Reach Among Motorcycle Users
PETALING JAYA, April 20 — Community-focused motorcycle service brand SPANA is setting an ambitious course for nationwide growth, targeting the launch of 10 new outlets by the end of this year as it builds momentum from strong early customer engagement.
Chairman Rosyam Nor said the expansion reflects growing demand for structured, reliable and affordable motorcycle servicing, particularly among everyday riders who depend on their vehicles for commuting and income generation.
He noted that planning for the expansion has been carried out in detail, with SPANA identifying areas where motorcycle usage is high and access to consistent service remains limited. Bangi has been chosen as the second branch location, following the company’s initial launch earlier this year.
Rosyam said while the Klang Valley remains central to SPANA’s operations, the company is actively positioning itself to expand beyond urban centres. The East Coast has been identified as a key growth region, with locations such as Kuala Terengganu and Kuantan offering strong potential due to their reliance on motorcycles as a primary mode of transport.
“Our focus is to bring services closer to the community, especially in areas where riders need dependable support,” he said, adding that SPANA’s concept is built around accessibility and trust.
Unlike conventional workshops, SPANA aims to establish itself as a comprehensive service hub, offering maintenance services, product sales and membership-based benefits through its SPANA Prime Club. This integrated approach is designed to strengthen customer loyalty and provide added value.
Rosyam revealed that since its launch in February, the company has seen a nearly 30 per cent increase in membership registrations, signalling positive reception from the market. He said this growth demonstrates a shift among motorcycle owners towards organised service providers that offer transparency and consistency.
Looking ahead, SPANA plans to introduce a franchise model to support its expansion strategy. Rosyam said this would allow the brand to scale more efficiently while creating opportunities for individuals interested in entering the motorcycle service business.
He added that the franchise system would provide structured support, including training and operational guidance, ensuring that service quality remains consistent across all outlets.
Despite its growth ambitions, SPANA has chosen to remain focused on the motorcycle segment and does not intend to expand into car servicing at this stage. Rosyam said this decision is aimed at maintaining expertise and delivering specialised services to its core customer base.
“Motorcycles are a lifeline for many people. Our responsibility is to ensure they have access to reliable and affordable services,” he said.
Rosyam also addressed external pressures on the business environment, including rising costs linked to global uncertainties such as geopolitical tensions. While acknowledging these challenges, he emphasised that SPANA remains committed to keeping prices stable for customers.
He said the company has been absorbing cost increases where possible, in line with its mission to support the community and ensure affordability.
As SPANA continues to expand, its strategy reflects a balance between growth and community impact. By prioritising accessibility, affordability and customer trust, the company aims to strengthen its presence in Malaysia’s motorcycle service industry while contributing to local economic activity.
