Sharifah Husna Chooses Privacy After Divorce, Says She and Former Husband Remain on Good Terms

PETALING JAYA: Actress Sharifah Husna has declined to reveal the reasons behind the end of her four-year marriage, saying the circumstances surrounding her divorce are a private matter that should remain between herself and her former husband, Halim Radzi.

The 33-year-old actress said she has no intention of discussing the details publicly despite growing curiosity among fans, adding that not every chapter of a personal relationship needs to be shared with the public.

Speaking about the end of the marriage, Sharifah stressed that she hopes people will respect their decision to keep the matter confidential.

“The reason for our divorce is something that only he and I know.

“It is enough for people to know that we are no longer husband and wife,” she said.

Although she acknowledged that many followers continue to speculate about what led to the separation, Sharifah chose not to respond to the various assumptions circulating online.

Instead, she maintained her position of remaining discreet, saying she would leave the public to form their own opinions rather than engage in discussions about her private life.

Despite the end of their marriage, Sharifah said there is no hostility between them and that both have accepted the outcome with maturity.

She described the divorce as part of life’s journey and said she believes that every relationship has its own destiny.

“For me, our journey as husband and wife simply came to an end. But we have no problem working together professionally,” she said.

Her remarks suggest that the former couple intend to maintain a respectful relationship, particularly if future work commitments require them to collaborate within the entertainment industry.

Sharifah added that she has accepted the divorce with an open heart and views it as fate rather than something to dwell on.

According to her, the separation was handled amicably and came after both parties realised they no longer shared the same understanding needed to continue the marriage.

The actress said there was no intention to create unnecessary conflict or public drama surrounding the divorce, preferring instead to move forward with her career and personal life.

Court records show that Sharifah and Halim officially ended their marriage through a single pronouncement of talaq after four years together.

While celebrity break-ups often become the subject of intense public discussion, Sharifah’s approach reflects a growing tendency among public figures to separate their professional careers from their private lives by limiting public commentary on deeply personal matters.

For now, the actress appears focused on embracing the next stage of her life while maintaining mutual respect with her former husband, demonstrating that the end of a marriage does not necessarily prevent two people from remaining civil and professional in the future.
