MPPWP Putrajaya Annual Work Planning Meeting Strengthens Community Development Strategy for 2026
PUTRAJAYA: The Putrajaya Federal Territories Residents’ Representative Council (MPPWP) convened its Annual Work Target Planning Meeting to streamline strategic priorities and enhance the implementation of community-based programmes for the year ahead.
The meeting was chaired by Perbadanan Putrajaya (PPj) Vice President Tuan Haji Nik Shukri bin Nik Soh and attended by the senior management of MPPWP Putrajaya. Discussions centred on aligning annual objectives, refining programme priorities and strengthening monitoring mechanisms to ensure that all initiatives are executed in a structured and focused manner.
In his opening remarks, Nik Shukri highlighted the importance of systematic planning in driving effective community engagement. He stressed that a well-organised annual framework helps prevent duplication of programmes, improves resource allocation efficiency and ensures that initiatives are aligned with the broader development goals of Putrajaya.
The session also underscored MPPWP’s role as a vital bridge between the administrative authority and local residents. Through structured annual planning, the council aims to translate grassroots feedback into actionable programmes that directly address the needs and aspirations of the community.
Key areas of focus discussed during the meeting included social and community welfare programmes, youth engagement initiatives, neighbourhood empowerment activities and sustainability-driven projects. The collaborative approach between PPj and MPPWP is expected to reinforce inclusive participation while delivering measurable outcomes for residents.
Communication strategy was another critical topic addressed. Council members acknowledged that effective dissemination of information plays a decisive role in ensuring strong community participation. Efforts will therefore be intensified to strengthen two-way communication channels and improve outreach so that residents remain informed and actively involved.
Both PPj and MPPWP reaffirmed their commitment to empowering the Putrajaya community through impactful and sustainable initiatives. The establishment of clear annual targets is viewed not merely as an administrative exercise, but as a strategic roadmap guiding all community development efforts throughout the year.
With improved coordination and reinforced collaboration among stakeholders, MPPWP Putrajaya is poised to implement its programmes more effectively in 2026. The planning meeting marks a proactive step towards ensuring that community development initiatives remain structured, transparent and aligned with Putrajaya’s vision of becoming a progressive and liveable city.
