
Malaysia Police Announce Major Leadership Reshuffle Involving Nine Senior Officers
KUALA LUMPUR, Feb 17 — The Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM) has announced a significant leadership reshuffle involving the transfer and promotion of nine senior officers, including a new appointment for the Johor deputy police chief position.
PDRM secretary DCP Abdul Rahman Kassim said the changes will take effect on March 16 and are part of efforts to strengthen the force’s leadership structure.
The reshuffle affects several key positions at both the federal and state levels.
Azman Abd Razak receives key promotion
Among the most notable appointments is DCP Datuk Azman Abd Razak, formerly deputy director of Bukit Aman’s Special Branch I.
He has been appointed principal assistant director of E8 at Bukit Aman Special Branch and will serve with the acting rank of commissioner of police.
The appointment reflects recognition of his leadership experience and expertise.
New deputy police chief appointed in Johor
Johor Criminal Investigation Department chief SAC Hoo Chuan Huat has been named Johor deputy police chief.
He will assume the acting rank of deputy commissioner of police.
His previous role will be filled by ACP Mohd Zairi Badderul @ Badrol.
Mohd Zairi will serve with the acting rank of SAC.
Other senior officers reassigned
Several other officers were also reassigned.
Melaka CID chief ACP Zaihairul Idrus has been appointed Perlis deputy police chief.
ACP Amran Md Jusin will take on a senior role in Bukit Aman’s commercial crime division.
ACP Fauzi Mohd Yusof has been appointed assistant director in Bukit Aman’s criminal investigation department.
ACP Lee King Chuan has been assigned a leadership role in border security.
New Hilir Perak district police chief named
Supt Chua Kok Lian has been promoted to Hilir Perak district police chief.
He will assume the acting rank of ACP.
PDRM said the reshuffle aims to enhance leadership effectiveness.
The changes are expected to strengthen operational performance nationwide.
