Infor Appoints Geoff Thomas to Lead APJ Growth and Strengthen Cloud Transformation Strategy

SYDNEY — Global enterprise software provider Infor has named Geoff Thomas as Senior Vice President and General Manager for Asia Pacific and Japan (APJ), reinforcing its ambition to expand cloud adoption and digital innovation across the region.

The move underlines Infor’s long-term focus on customer-centric growth, stronger partner networks and industry-specific technology solutions.

Based in Sydney, Thomas will oversee operations in Japan, Australia, New Zealand, Southeast Asia, North Asia and India — some of the world’s fastest-growing digital markets.

Extensive Experience in Regional Leadership

Thomas brings more than 20 years of experience in leading technology-driven organisations and guiding enterprises through large-scale transformation.

Prior to joining Infor, he led APJ expansion at Qlik, and previously held senior roles at Microsoft, Juniper Networks, Polycom and OneLogin.

His background provides deep understanding of regional challenges, including cybersecurity, automation and data management.

APJ as a Core Growth Pillar

Infor Executive Vice President for International Business, Wolfgang Kobek, said APJ remains central to the company’s global strategy.

“The region is home to highly dynamic businesses seeking advanced digital solutions. Geoff’s leadership will accelerate value creation,” he said.

He added that Infor will continue investing in talent, innovation and partnerships.

Strengthening Regional Governance

Thomas has begun reinforcing the leadership structure by appointing Aidan Brecknell to lead Australia and New Zealand, and Victor Ng to oversee Southeast and North Asia.

These changes aim to enhance operational efficiency, market responsiveness and customer engagement.

Growing Opportunities in ASEAN

Industry analysts believe the appointment reflects Infor’s increasing focus on ASEAN economies, including Malaysia, Indonesia and Vietnam.

As manufacturing, logistics and digital commerce expand, companies require integrated systems for analytics, planning and automation.

Thomas said Infor will prioritise long-term customer success.

“Our mission is to help organisations become more resilient, innovative and competitive in the digital economy,” he said.

Infor currently serves customers in more than 200 countries, positioning itself as a key transformation partner in the Asia-Pacific region.
