Amyza Aznan hopes for miracle as son Andre Mikhail Khairil Izhar faces worsening health condition
PETALING JAYA, Feb 18 — Malaysian actress Amyza Aznan continues to hold on to hope and prayers for a miracle as her son, Andre Mikhail Khairil Izhar, faces increasingly complex health challenges following the latest medical developments.
Amyza shared that a medical procedure planned for her son could not be carried out as expected after doctors discovered complications that prevented the treatment from proceeding.
Initially, medical specialists had suspected the presence of fluid in Andre’s lungs that required removal.
However, further examination revealed that the real cause of the problem was not fluid accumulation but an active tumour that had grown and was affecting the function of his right lung.
She explained that the tumour’s presence had caused the lung to function poorly, making the planned procedure unnecessary and unsuitable under the circumstances.
This unexpected development has added to the emotional strain faced by the family.
Amyza said doctors now need to conduct a magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) scan to determine the exact size and condition of the tumour before deciding on the next course of treatment.
Unfortunately, the family has been informed that they must wait approximately one month for the MRI appointment.
She also shared that previous CT scan results had shown some reduction in the tumour’s size.
According to her, the tumour had shrunk from about 18 centimetres to 14 centimetres.
Despite this reduction, doctors said the tumour remains too large for surgery at this stage.
As a result, immediate surgical intervention is not currently possible.
Amyza described the situation as deeply challenging but said she remains hopeful and continues to pray for her son’s recovery.
She also appealed to the public to keep Andre in their prayers during this difficult time.
She said that as a mother, she believes in the power of prayer and hopes for a miracle that could change her son’s condition.
Amyza emphasised that the support and prayers from others mean a great deal to her and her family.
She expressed gratitude for the encouragement they have received so far.
Andre was previously diagnosed with stage three lung cancer following medical examinations at Hospital Ampang.
Since then, he has undergone various treatments as part of his fight against the disease.
The latest development represents another emotional challenge for the family.
Despite the uncertainty, Amyza said she is determined to remain strong for her son.
She continues to hope that he will find the strength to overcome this illness.
She also expressed her faith that better days may still lie ahead.
For now, Amyza said her family will continue to support Andre while waiting for further medical evaluation and treatment options.
