Zahid Reaffirms UMNO’s Commitment to Unity, Says Harmony Key to Malaysia’s Stability
KUALA LUMPUR, Feb 26 — UMNO president Datuk Seri Ahmad Zahid Hamidi has reaffirmed the party’s commitment to strengthening unity among Malaysia’s diverse communities to ensure the country remains peaceful and stable.
He said UMNO, together with the Barisan Nasional (BN) coalition, has always upheld values of tolerance and mutual understanding as the foundation of national harmony.
Zahid made the remarks during a breaking-of-fast gathering with senior UMNO leaders at the World Trade Centre Kuala Lumpur.
Leaders from BN component parties, including MCA and MIC, were also present.
