DRB-Hicom Posts Strong RM398 Million Profit in Q4 2025

Marking Major Financial Recovery

PETALING JAYA, Feb 26 — DRB-Hicom Berhad reported a sharp increase in net profit to RM398 million for the fourth quarter ended December 31, 2025, marking a significant recovery from RM22.6 million recorded in the same period a year earlier.

The strong performance highlights the group’s successful turnaround, supported by improved operational results and stronger contributions across its business segments.

In its filing with Bursa Malaysia, the company said it also recorded a pre-tax profit of RM373.33 million, compared to a pre-tax loss of RM35.17 million in the previous year’s corresponding quarter.

Revenue Climbs More Than 15 Per Cent

Quarterly revenue rose to RM4.57 billion, reflecting a 15.2 per cent increase from RM3.97 billion previously.

The growth was driven by better performance across multiple sectors, including automotive, banking, and property.

The recognition of negative goodwill from a corporate acquisition also contributed to the improved results.

Returns to Profit for Full Financial Year

For the full financial year 2025, DRB-Hicom recorded a net profit of RM337.36 million, compared to a net loss in the previous year.

Annual revenue increased to RM17.31 billion.

Pre-tax profit also rose significantly to RM653.88 million.

The performance was supported by stronger contributions from Proton and other business divisions.

Outlook Influenced by Global and Industry Factors

The company noted that Malaysia’s economic growth provided a supportive environment for business.

However, global uncertainties remain a concern.

The automotive sector is expected to moderate slightly after record sales.

Despite this, DRB-Hicom remains confident in its long-term outlook.

The company expects continued growth supported by its diversified business portfolio.
